2014 Grammy Awards: Best In Color

It was music’s turn to celebrate last night as the industry celebrated its talent at the 56th annual Grammy Awards. Music darlings walked the red carpet and wowed us yet again with their fashion choices. The red carpet showed us the color trends of the night and there were four that really caught our eye. See which musicians made our best in color picks.

Metallics have been huge this award season and gold stole the night on the Grammy red carpet. Pop star Taylor Swift has our vote for best dressed in her, as she stated, “armor-like” Gucci gown. Model and wife of John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, looked the part of a diva clad in a gold dress designed by Johanna Johnson. Further proof that this was the trend to wear was a pregnant Ciara dressed in a Emilio Pucci metallic dress.

Shimmer and beige went hand in hand with this trend. This was evident in the gown worn by country songstress and winner of Best Country Album, Kacey Musgraves, who wore Armani Prive. Another beauty decked in this color and showing off some glitz was Brooklyn Haley. Actress Anna Kendrick also rocked this trend in her Azzaro gown with a high slit and revealing bodice.

From navy to cobalt, blue was another trend of the Grammy’s. Alicia Keys revealed a sultry side and wore a vibrant blue in her low-cut Armani Prive gown. Two other ladies opted for classic shade of navy as we saw on Anna Faris in a strapless Fitriani and Martina McBride in a sleeveless David Meester design.

White embellished gowns were spotted on several divas on the Grammy red carpet. The queen of all divas, Beyonce, began the trend by wearing a stunning white lace gown designed by Michael Costello. Lovely lady Sara Bareilles wore a Blumarine gown complete with white floral appliques and Katniss Everdeen-inspired hair. Paris Hilton looked chic in this color trend, wearing a white floral floor-length dress with beige inserts designed by Haus of Milani.

Pink looked lovely in red, wearing a red strapless and satin gown by Johanna Johnson. Country darling Miranda Lambert showed off a sleek figure in a low-cut design from Pamella Roland. Another songstress looking lovely in red was Colbie Calliat who was dressed in a design by Ezra Santos.
