Today's blogger of the week is our very own Annette Tang of The Versastyle! Not only is she LadyLUX's senior editor, but also a footwear designer and cutting-edge fashion blogger!

LadyLUX: How would you describe your personal style?

Annette Tang: I love edgy and streamlined looks in dark colors. My outfits typically revolve around awesome outerwear pieces like blazers and leather jackets and of course, heels. Heels are always a must. It completes the outfit for me. I don't believe in flats.

LL: What designers are you inspired by?

AT: Alexander Wang, Balmain's Olivier Rousteing and Givenchy's Riccardo Tisci. Alexander Wang is an amazing designer. He does such an incredible job creating new ideas and materials but at the same time he knows what his customer wants. It's an impressive balance to manage. And in such a short amount of time, both Olivier Rousteing and Riccardo Tisci have recreated Balmain and Givenchy, respectively, into consistently covetable collections. I think that's really admirable.

LL: How did you get into designing footwear?

AT: Fashion has always been an interest of mine, especially since my mom is a fashion designer and I grew up sketching, sewing and watching fashion shows instead of cartoons. With footwear, I actually started on the business side, marrying trends and designs with sales. I eventually worked my way into design, lead a team of designers and managed three different collections.

LL: What are some of your hobbies outside of blogging?

AT: I love delicious, creative food so I enjoy going to restaurants with notable chefs and seeing what they have to offer. I also have a passion for photography. I can wander around a city and take endless pictures. I love snowboarding too, but haven't had the time to lately! I really just enjoy doing anything creative.

LL: What is your favorite part about creating content for The Versastyle?

AT: The best part is it fuses two of my biggest loves - fashion and photography. It's a nonstop challenge trying to keep content interesting and fresh while staying true to what you believe in. I have to say you end up learning a lot about yourself through blogging.
