Throngs gathered Wednesday at Burberry’s Bond Street store during London’s Fashion’s Night Out to see the latest fashionable gear and enjoy some live entertainment. The band One Night Only showed their stuff at Burberry, while GAP featured Grammy-nominated American singer Janelle Monae. Even Gwyneth Paltrow turned out to champion the charity Kids’ Company. Also in attendance were shopaholic Claudia Schiffer, designer Manolo Blahnik, British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman, Giorgio Armani and other fashion elites.
British designer Matthew Williamson enjoyed the bustle of the evening. “It’s been a really good night,” he said, welcoming the streams of customers.
Christopher Bailey, a fashion designer, took his role at FNO seriously. “Shopping is not relaxing,” said Bailey, engaged in posing for photos with admirers. “I tend to get everything in one go — or shop online.”
