Milan’s fashion world rocked its heels during the city’s Fashion’s Night Out, being held on Sept.10. Insane crowds – holding up the traffic – turned out for a glimpse of their favorite designer or a chance to find a fashion must-have.
“Yes, it’s all worth it, even just to see all the excitement and people having fun, ” said Italian designer Roberto Cavalli, standing proudly in his store.
The night was all about star gazing – only this time, it was the designers who were sought after. “I’m not regularly recognized when I walk through Via Montenapoleone, but it’s different tonight: People are looking for contact and they look happier than usual,” designer Frida Giannini said. Giorgio Armani, Donatella Versace, Gildo Zegna and more eagerly swarmed the fashion extravaganza. All in all, the name of the game was shopping – plus designer sightings.
