Food & Wine Classic to celebrate 30th anniversary in Aspen
From June 15-17, the Food & Wine Classic will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a new line-up of events and its largest roster of chefs and winemakers yet. Epicurean masters Mario Batali, Giada DeLaurentiis, Bobby Flay, Emeril Lagasse, Tom Colicchio, Danny Meyer, Jacques Pépin, Michael Symon, Ming Tsai and many other chefs will lead more than 80 cooking classes, seminars and demonstrations.
For the last 30 years, the three-day weekend has brought the Food & Wine brand to life through cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, interactive seminars, panel discussions and the renowned Grand Tasting Pavilion. Occurring at 8,000 feet in Aspen, Colorado, the event will host 5,000 attendees.
Attendees will be treated to special 30th anniversary events and new programming, including a hands-on knife skills seminar presented by Sur la Table, a butchering demonstration, a 5K charity run, an anniversary party and late-night dessert bash.
Food & Wine will donate two percent of the net proceeds from all Classic tickets sold to Grow for Good, benefitting the Wholesome Wave Foundation. Grow for Good is the Food & Wine national initiative dedicated to supporting local farms and encouraging sustainable agriculture.
