Good.is Helps You Make a Difference from Home
Some might say that the only way to make a difference is to show up in person. However, Good.is is looking to shift that belief by giving online activism a voice.
Once upon a time, social change only took place with picketing and a physical stance, now through the use of social networks and advancements in technology, we can take global action on several issues with just a click of the mouse.
“….as the computer scientist and visual artist Jonathan Harris puts it, “Instead of fleeing to the forest, we must find the humanity in the machine and learn to love it. If we decide humanity does not yet exist there in the ways we expect, then we must create it.”
Of course the online movement must also equate to offline action, though the collaboration and effort can most definitely start with an online presence. Finding a good balance between online activism and physical activism will create a sense of ease and help promote strong relationships.
