Halston Revival in Fragrance

Attention LUXies, it seems the iconic brand, Halston, is re-launching their once FAB fragrance line with an updated twist!!

With new Creative Director Marios Schwab, at the helm, it seems Halston is looking to come back in full force, including a whole new fragrance line!! Reminiscent of the original version back in 70’s, this new signature scent offers everything great about the past, coupled with technology of now!!

Carlos Benaim of International Flavors & Fragrances was enlisted to ‘modernize’ the once signature scents by following tried and true methods—although it seems he added previously unavailable ingredients as well to fully capture the essence of the original!! So LUXies, before we know it we could be scenting ourselves with the new and improved Halston classic fragrance!!

Offering fragrance allows us to expand awareness of the brand and allows consumers to buy a part of the brand at an affordable price point. We would like to use the scents as a springboard to expand to additional licensed categories. –Bonnie Takhar, President and Chief Executive Officer of Halston, via WWD.com

Halston’s current fragrance license is held by Elizabeth Arden, Inc and it seems this new launch with Halston will be one of their most exclusive distributions to date!

Keeping with the original look and feel of the original bottle design, they simply updated the color with a ‘platinum-hue’!! Prices will range from $50-100 depending on the size of the bottle. They will be available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in the United States and Harrods in the United Kingdom.

So LUX Nation, the once classic scents of Halston will soon be back on shelves with new robust ingredients offering fragrance for both men and women!! What do you think? Would you spritz yourself with the new Halston scent for ol’ time sake??
