John Muscat and Jennifer Wells of Line Knitwear launch diffusion line John & Jenn
Long-time friends and business partners John Muscat and Jennifer Wells have already created one successful knitwear brand, why not make it two? The Canadian duo first teamed up in 2000 to launch Line Knitwear, one of the first knitwear collections to push design possibilities to the max through draping, embellishment and exaggerated detailing. The brand’s oversized sweaters, wrap cardigans and layering tanks have been coveted by A-listers including Jennifer Garner, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Biel and Taylor Swift. Muscat and Wells’ distinct style and appreciation for simplicity has contributed to their success with the luxury knitwear line, and now they are adding a playful diffusion collection to the mix. Debuting in stores this Spring, John & Jenn is fun and flirtatious.

The new line gives the “go-to” pieces from Line’s treasure trove of bestsellers a lively twist. Aimed towards the casual-chic girl, Muscat and Wells brought relaxed sweaters to life with animated colors of tangerine, deep turquoise and bubblegum pink while lightweight cardigans sparkled with sequin textures paired with thick or thin stripes and polka dot patterns. Nautical themes peaked through with navy and white schemes combined with sequin appliqués of anchors and seahorses. The duo also incorporated striped, long, slender dresses with a beachy feel as well as subtly glam shimmery minidresses, both versatile enough to go from day to night.
John & Jenn takes the expertise and distinctiveness of Line Knitwear to a trendy level that every girl can enjoy and, with prices ranging from $78 to $125, it doesn’t get any sweeter.
The new Spring/Summer 2012 collection will be available at specialty stores and department stores including Anthropologie and Nordstrom.
