Julie Gilhart leaves Barney’s NY and Daniella Vitale joins
Considered one of the most influential people in fashion, Julie Gilhart is leaving her post as fashion director and senior vice president at Barney’s New York. Although Gilhart does have an active Twitter page, she has not commented on the departure or given a statement to the media as of yet. Barney’s said that Gilhart has left to pursue other opportunities.
Along with Gilhart, Judy Colllinson, the executive vice president and general merchandise manager of women’s at Barney’s, is also leaving for similar reasons.
Barney’s does, however, have a new addition to its staff list. According to WWD, Daniella Vitale was announced today as the chief merchant and executive vice president of women’s and Web operations at Barney’s.
