What is more fun than filling your social calendar with events? Filling it with events that support a good cause! If you’re attending a foodie event, a night out, going for a long walk or in the mood for a fashion show, why not do a little good and help end childhood hunger, aid cancer patients, promote sustainable living or make a donation towards individuals living with Down Syndrome. Fuzjko Hemming: Arigato Charity Concert
Los Angeles, CA
Overcoming severe hearing difficulties, Fuzjko Hemming beat the odds to become a highly acclaimed concert pianist and share her music with the world. Here is your chance to hear the piano by this legendary Japanese-Swedish talent, owner of platinum records, at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The concert features works by Chopin, Debussy, Liszt and Mussorgsky. A portion of the proceeds from the “Arigato Charity Concert” will go to the 2011 Japan Relief Fund for the March 2011 earthquake victims. Ticket prices for the July 5 concert range from $50-$100. TwentyWonder “A Carnival of the Mind”

On July 7, The Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles presents the third annual TwentyWonder “A Carnival of the Mind” hosted by The Los Angeles Derby Dolls. The event promises to be a bursting expo of art, science, music and comedy, and will also include an action-packed Los Angeles versus San Diego women’s roller derby all-star grudge match. On July 21, join Freedom and Fashion at Bloomfest LA, a festival in the Downtown Arts District that showcases local art and music in order to advocate sustainable living. 9th Annual OC Breast Cancer Fundraiser
Orange County, CA
On July 14, guests are invited for an evening of cocktails, dancing and entertainment as THE Breast Cancer Fundraiser raises awareness and funds to help end breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. Your generous donation will help fund value-added services to patients in need. Specialty open bar and appetizers 7PM - 8PM. AVON Walk for Breast Cancer

The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer event series specifically raises money and awareness for breast cancer research and treatment. For 2 days and 39 miles, thousands of walkers, crew members and volunteers help to dramatically impact the lives of millions affected by breast cancer worldwide. Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation is the nation’s premier culinary benefit featuring top chefs and mixologists who come together to donate their time, talent and passion to end childhood hunger in America. This year, the event celebrates its 25th Anniversary and will be led by Event Chair and Miami legend, Chef Allen Susser. Chef Susser and Restaurant Chair, Chef Andre Bienvenu of Joe’s Stone Crab, will put together an incredible line-up of local restaurants committed to Share Our Strength’s vision to end childhood hunger. Each restaurant will prepare small portions of its best dishes for guests to taste, and guests will also have the opportunity to bid in live and silent auctions. On July 20, join the Mets for the Third Annual Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Night at Citi Field! The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a nationwide network of people dedicated to working together to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer. Sit together with fellow Pancreatic Cancer Action Network supporters, family and friends. A portion of each ticket purchased will be donated back to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PANCAN). Fashion Fights Poverty Summer Fashion Camp
Arlington, VA
As part of Artisphere's “Summer Break Creative Camp for Teens,” Fashion Fights Poverty will be holding its first summer camp. FFP will provide a 5-day fashion program for middle and high school students interested in the fashion industry. Students will engage in creative classes to boost their self-esteem and introduce them to different areas of the fashion industry, including styling, production, design, photography and modeling, with special attention to eco-ethical business principles. Professionals currently working in the fashion industry and Fashion Fights Poverty volunteers will teach the classes. The program will run from July 30 to Aug. 3, 10AM to 4PM daily. Pink Party with a Purpose - 2nd Annual Charity Fashion Event
Pittsburgh, PA
Join Chelsea's of New York.com, Clique Vodka and Maniac Magazine on Saturday, July 28 as they partner to host an A-list cocktail party and fashion show benefiting the American Heart Association's Pittsburgh chapter of the “Go Red for Women” campaign.
