Lady Gaga’s new philanthropic getup
We are all well familiar with Lady Gaga’s inventive outfits. But this time, she has truly gotten creative. The star intends to sport an outfit imprinted with the faces of her fans, reported StyleBible.ie.
The singer encourages her following to go to VivaGlam.com (the site of MAC's Viva Glam initiative, which reaches out to those suffering from HIV and AIDS), where they can upload a shot of themselves. The chosen faces will then be printed on a couture getup, made by stylist Nicola Formichetti, which Lady Gaga will show off later this year. Not only will fans get a thrill, but the effort is intended to generate awareness of this debilitating disease and to thank all those who work against it.
Lady Gaga is a big fan of the MAC Viva Glam, having been involved with their efforts for quite some time. She has supported the campaign through being featured in a set of adverts with Cyndi Lauper, plus by introducing a limited-edition lip gloss and lipstick earlier this year.
The celebrity is herself an incredible lover of makeup, thus “hyperventilated” awhen photographer Steven Klein suggested she appear barefaced (sans makeup) on the set of one of her music videos.
“We are both very strong-willed and we both have very specific visions,” Gaga said to StyleBible.ie. “And I knew his specific vision and he knew mine so that it was like tugging at a rope together. And then we tied a beautiful knot! I wanted to bring him out of his comfort zone and he wanted to bring me out of mine. He was stripping me down, taking off all my make-up, no eyelashes, no liner, saying, 'I'm cutting all of your hair off' and not tanned ... For me, I was hyperventilating, but it did force me to be myself.”p>
