The Limited Celebrates Anniversary by Funding Dress for Success

In honor of The Limited’s 50th anniversary, the clothing label is unveiling a new initiative aimed at helping women to succeed in the workplace through Dress for Success. The nonprofit, which provides professional clothing and career development services for women who are entering or re-entering the workface, receives $1 each time a woman shares a personal success story or life lesson online at The Limited’s website, up to $50,000.

The famed clothing brand will also direct 30 percent of sales of a limited edition clutch and commemorative bracelet, both to be released for fall, to Dress for Success. Dress for Success provides 65,000 women each year around the globe with the tools they need to better their lives.

Another component of the celebration is a social media campaign, kicking off August, in which shoppers pick out their ideal celebration dress design that they would like The Limited to carry.

To help out with the effort, all you need to do share a moment of personal or professional success, whether an important moment in your career, a family milestone, a lesson learned, a key personal goal reached or a memorable victory. Through women sharing these important achievements, The Limited hopes to inspire other women to succeed.
Since 1963, The Limited has offered runway-inspired apparel to fashion-minded women in malls around the nation. For more information, please visit http://50.thelimited.com/
