LUX Look: Red

From fire engine red to blood orange, the fiery shade was all the rage on the Paris runway. While muted monochromatic looks seem to dominate fall wardrobes, these three designers decided to add a splash of color for the post-summer season.

Giambattista Valli
Judging from the runway, no one would guess GV would showcase this silky, red dress at Paris Fashion Week. Stuck between black and white separates, red and pinks occasionally popped up, teasing onlookers with fall brights.

Givenchy
If they made another Adams Family movie, it’s a sure bet that Givenchy would be the chic choice to style the cast. Black and red was thrown around amongst lace and patterned knits, giving a dark yet sophisticated fall look.

Vanessa Bruno
Slinky, flowy layers were the theme of the show. See-through black blouses, over-sized leather jackets, floppy hats gave a casual and cool vibe. Bruno’s kimono-esque wrap is understated yet undeniably noticeable in this perfect shade of red.

edit: We just saw that our friend, @CoutureCarrie posted about Red Gowns and she has a great list too.
