LUXies, it seems that The Knot and OTX have just announced a whole new consumer group called ‘Nesties.’ This specialized group of women would normally have fit in the 18-34 year old category, but have been found through a 6,000 person study that ‘Nesties’ share an unique set of characteristics making them a specialized sub-set of this group! Do you think you might be a ‘Nestie’?!?

Do you happen to be between the age of 25 and 32? In the last 3 to 4 years have you got married, had your first child and possibly nested?? If you answered ‘yes’ to at least 2 of the above questions then you might just be classified as a ‘Nestie.’

This new consumer group is definitely defined by change, flux, and adaptability! According to this study, there are key characteristics of Nesties and these include the following: being in charge of the house hold purchase decisions, she maintains her independence even after marriage, she is financially conscious, and most definitely she seeks convenience.

“This groundbreaking study demonstrates that Nesties, more than any other group their age, are in the market to spend as they settle into new homes and plan for their first baby,” said David Liu, CEO of The Knot Inc.

As you can see this is one of the largest and most influential consumer groups yet identified, which means that ‘Nesties’ have extreme purchasing power!! In fact, it is estimated to equate to $283 Billion over three years!! So Nesties be prepared that what you purchase is most definitely making a statement and will be noticed by retailers, marketers and companies alike!!
