Marc Jacobs Debuts New Cosmetic Line at Sephora

Marc Jacobs is venturing into the world of cosmetics. The fashion designer has teamed up with Sephora to launch a colorful cosmetic collection. The makeup collection will debut on August 9th at Sephora and at select Marc Jacobs stores, reported WWD.

“I’m surprised by how delighted I am with the results,” Jacobs told WWD. “Now I want to see what the customer thinks. That’s the ultimate.”

The line of 122 makeup products offers beauty consumers moderate prices between $24 and $59. The cosmetic collection is pure Marc Jacobs infusing bold colors and the designers’ cheekiness.

It was important for Jacobs’ line to be exciting, unfussy and low-maintenance to help women feel confident in their beauty without trying to reach perfection.

The line will include four different categories of Smart Complexion (foundations, concealer, powder), Blacquer (eyeliner, lash lifter, gel crayon), Hi-Per Color (lipsticks, blush, eye shadow, bronzer, nail polish), and even Boy Tested, Girl Approved (unisex products of lip balm, brow gel, and concealer).

Jacobs’ provocative product names were inspired by the favorite things in his life. His Shameless blush was inspired by his tattoo, his Lovemarc gel lipsticks are all named after his favorite movies and his dark eye shadows palette owns the fashionable name of Style Eye-Con.
