Movember and TOMS team up for shoes to benefit cancer efforts
What better way to battle prostate cancer than to grow a moustache? International nonprofit Movember asks men each November to sport a moustache to generate awareness of cancers affecting men. This year, they are also asking for activists to support the cause by purchasing a special line of TOMS shoes. TOMS has created two styles of limited edition footwear to fund Movember’s work fighting cancer, reported the Los Angeles Times and Fashion Beans.
For $58, shoppers can obtain a gray waxed twill option of TOMS’ famous espadrille, which features a Movember moustache design around the heel. The second style, for $98, is a two-toned variation of the classic bota in gray and black. Both styles feature a dog-tooth check lining and are offered in both men and women’s sizes.
Not only that, but as always, when customers purchase a pair of TOMS footwear, a child in need receives a new pair of shoes.
The charity-inspired shoes will be released in stores and online early November.
