New Collection XII XII XLIX by Romeo Gigli

LUXies, as many of you know there’s been several causalities in the fashion industry due to the economic shifts and lack of consumer confidence. Well, designer Romeo Gigli will not be one of them!

Even though his latest project ‘Io Ipse Idem’ was just canceled due to financial backers pulling out, it seems that Gigli is actually forging ahead with a new collection titled: XII XII XLIX. This comes from the fashion-genius’ own birthday translated into Roman numerals. Simply brilliant if we do say so ourselves!

This new collection has been designed with joint venture partner Fuzzi, an Italian based high-end knitwear specialty brand. The pair has just released the new 35-piece collection in Milan stores as of this past week.

Expect the designs to feature layers and a blend of fabrics which allows for both a sporty and upscale feel. This womenswear line is definitely meant to stand out and be the ideal collection to transition us into the spring and summer fashions with style and grace.

What we love most is that Romeo Gigli didn’t let minor mishaps and closure of his last project hinder his creative flow! There’s something to be learned from his Perseverance and Strength to see his vision come to action.

What do you think it takes to recover from so-called ‘failures’? What are some ways you’ve overcome setbacks in your own creative endeavors that helped you gain your inspiration back?
