Pink-Slip? No Problem For Virgin Mobile Users

Gotta love a company that cares. Virgin Mobile just announced that it will cover a pre-paid customer's cell phone bill for three months if they lose their job. They also reduced the price of monthly unlimited pre-paid plans. This is the sign of a company that understands customer satisfaction and retention, taking into consideration the struggles consumers may be facing during the current economic situation.

The wireless company said Thursday that it would waive fees for three months for any of its prepaid, no-contract plans if a customer loses his job, as long as he has been a customer for at least two months. Virgin also cut the price on its unlimited prepaid calling plan to $49.99 from $79.99, and introduced new text-messaging-only plans that charge separately for voice calls.
