Pringle and Serpentine Gallery Presents 195 Collaborations

Because two is always better than one… you can’t go wrong with collaborations. New to jump on the collaboration wagon is Pringle of Scotland and London’s Serpentine Gallery located in the Kensington Gardens. Together to celebrate Pringle’s 195th and Serpentine’s 40th anniversary, they are bringing various artists together to create a limited edition of knitwear by collaborating twinsets and argyle. The project is known as 195 Collaborations.

“We want to celebrate the very Scottish craft of knitwear, and to create products that are personal and individual,” said Mary-Adair Macaire, Pringle’s CEO.

195 Collaborations will debut during London Fashion Week in February at the Serpentine Gallery with the artists present to represent their pieces and for questions. Each twinset will have a limited quantity of 195 pieces, pricing out between $1300 and $3300. The project plans to donate all proceeds from the collaboration to the gallery’s public and educational programs.

Artist participating in the collaboration include; actress Tilda Swinton, Turner Prize-winning artist Richard Wright, Douglas Gordon, and Alasdair Gray.
