Radar: Blogger blocks StyleRookie
StyleList reported today that Tavi Gevinson, the famed 13-year-old blogger, will be taking an unintentional break from blogging. Apparently StyleRookie has violated Blogger’s terms of use and is currently inaccessible to the public.
The teenager, whose known for her musings on mag spreads and runway shows, has shown some risqué material on her site that could have raised some Blogger eyebrows. One of the “adult” materials was a nude pictorial she analyzed from Yohji Yamamoto’s spring 1998 lookbook.
It’s quite possible that the designer himself, or the photographer, reported the use of the photograph. Lately, the violation of photo permissions has been on the forefront of media news, since many bloggers pull images from sources that have paid to receive permission. This action by the Google site, which has disabled her blog, might alert bloggers to use more discretion and professional decorum when posting photographs that are not their own.
