Radar: Rodarte’s Dynamic Duo Hits Daytime

Martha Stewart has garnered her fair share of attention, and with two Emmys under her belt, she has no reason to stop. On May 20, the domestic goddess will dedicate the episode of The Martha Stewart Show to successful siblings. It’s no wonder she offered a spot to Kate and Laura Mulleavy, the brains behind the brilliant brand Rodarte. Although the CFDA winners have gathered support from famed fashion icons like Anna Wintour and Michelle Obama, these two sisters weren’t always in the spotlight for their avant-garde designs. The Los Angeles natives graduated from UC Berkeley and didn’t get real industry recognition until 2005 (hello, that’s only five years ago). So, it’s easy to say that the show will be an interesting opportunity to hear their story as sibs that made it big.

Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time fashionistas have hit Martha’s stage in Chelsea. When she’s not basket weaving, apparently she’s reading WWD because Martha has had some heavy hitters from the industry on her lifestyle show such as Elle’s Robbie Myers, Vogue’s Grace Coddington, Tom Ford, and Roberto Cavalli.
