Ralph Lauren’s New Men’s Store at Rhineland Mansion

Good news for fans of Ralph Lauren’s menswear: The designer has unveiled a new store solely focused on his line of men’s clothing. On Wednesday, the Rhinelander Mansion – a luxurious Beaux Arts home located at New York’s Madison Avenue and 72nd Street – opened its doors as a converted, just-for-men Ralph Lauren clothing emporium. Lauren’s womenswear has been bumped to a newly constructed 40,000-square-foot location across the street.

“It was 25 years ago that I built that store,” said Ralph Lauren. “To redo it and have a whole different dimension to it, and also to see what we’re doing across the street, feels quite amazing. With all the concepts, and the way it’s all put together, it is just what I wanted and visualized.”

Customers can now see Lauren’s full collection for men in just one location. Featuring fully 20,000 square feet of men’s clothing displayed in four roomy stories, the space allows each of the designer’s label to spread out. In fact, the company doubled the area allocated for its menswear. This means everything from the original Polo line to the vintage-inspired RRL now has its own, unique home.

“They’re worlds within a world,” said Charles Fagan Jr., executive vice president and chief of staff to Ralph Lauren, according to WWD.

Boasting everything from watches to luggage, the store responds to customers’ desire for more assortment. Polo Ralph Lauren Corp. said in a statement they will continue to focus on both online sales and their brick-and-mortar businesses.
