Mules re-emerge for the C/R 14 season with a vengeance in an array of styles. Sleek and streamlined designs and pointed toes in muted colors appear on flats, wedges and block heels. High vamps offer a fresh and feminine interpretation. Clogs round out the looks with platform wood soles as seen on the Louis Vuitton runway.

Another borrowed-from-the-boys trend, slip-on sneakers emerge on the Resort 2014 runways. Inspired by classic skater silhouettes, rubber soles highlight the athletic and effortless vibe. This comfy style is not however short on style. Designers sported this chic new trend in animal prints, velvet materials, glossy surfaces and allover prints.

Booties are no longer seen as just a fall and winter staple with seasonally appropriate updates from Resort collections. Black and white ankle grazing styles dominated the runways in mesh, leather and suede. Ladylike heels, wedges, and block heels offer a variety of styles.

Remember the ADIDAS shower slide? Designers are bringing back this 90s favorite with literal tributes and modern updates. New interpretations feature animal print, colorblocking, lace and crisscross detailing.
