Runway icons to walk at Adrienne Vittadini
When hearing the word “model,” what image comes to mind? Perhaps a skinny European youth? Maybe supermodels of the past, such as Cindy Crawford or Christy Turlington, that had iconic modeling campaigns?
Designer Adrienne Vittadini is done with hiring tiny 14-year-old girls, according to WWD.
Vittadini wants to give attention to successful models of every age by hiring veteran models for her Feb. 16 knitwear show at New York Fashion Week.
Legends in their day—such as Pat Cleveland, Carol Alt, Roshumba and Carmen Dell’Orefice—will show the audience how it’s done in the “Modern Muse” theme show at The Box in Lincoln Center.
Dell’Orefice will be hitting the catwalk with 79 years under her belt.
“I couldn’t have dreamed of a more dynamic and gorgeous group,” said Mary Gleason, Adrienne Vittadini brand president, according to WWD.
