Shorts have been present in runway and street styles in the past couple seasons and continue in Spring 2010. Hot for Spring are super short shorts –think 70’s, flared shorts and biker shorts – think 80’s at its best.

As the weather gets warmer, the shorts get shorter. The hot shorts made famous in the 70’s makes its way back on runways in basics, metallic and prints. Almost short as bloomers, these cheeky high-cut bottoms accentuate the legs and vary from high-waisted to low hipster feels.

Flaired Shorts

Last season’s bubble shorts evolved into flared shorts. Maintaining its flirty volume, shorts are mid-length with pleated details or structural draping. High-waistlines work with the flared silhouettes to maintain balance.

Biker Shorts

Brush off the dust on your old biker shorts because they are new on the runway and look fresh and modern. Biker shorts are making its comeback in casual chic styling in stretch, lace and jersey. Designers used neutral to bold colors layered under skirts, shorts or oversized tees for an 80’s throwback feel.
