The Thursday Night Scene: Global Green
The hot spot last Thursday night was the Global Green Pre-oscar Party at Avalon and you better believe LadyLUX & Co. was there to represent! Every year Global Green hosts a party during the week before the Oscars to help raise funds for initiatives such as green affordable housing and schools and to spread awareness of how we can help on an individual level. Undoubtedly we are experiencing a global shift right now and there is a desire to implement change as the turnout for the event and the amount of support for the cause was unreal! The place was packed with a line around the block, the energy was intense, and the spirits were high.
Celebrity? Really, where? Too bad we didn’t notice as we were too distracted by the amazing fashion all around! it was obvious that tonight, everyone was dressed to the nines and effort was being made on the fashion scene. We were inspired by all the creativity and each person rockin’ their own individual style.
And we can’t forget about the entertainment! Gavin Rossdale opened the stage in a mellow fashion, going solo and acoustic, which was perfect for the atmosphere. His vibe allowed guests enough time to settle in and schmooze a bit before the real entertainment began…. and then Sheryl Crow took the stage and brought down the house! Who would ever guess she is in her 40’s as the woman rocked for over an hour, bringing it like a true performer should. Her voice even sounds better live!!
