Y-3 sportswear expands with global online store
Yohji Yamamoto and Adidas’ partnership, Y-3, is extending its reach around the globe, with a new international online store exhibiting a redesign by Yoox Group. Introducing Y-3’s merchandise to all of North and South America, Europe, Russia and Japan, the new site will launch this spring and offer the company’s complete range of edgy upscale sportswear products: apparel, footwear and accessories for men, women and children.
“We saw it as a natural progression to launch an online store so we can reach all customers worldwide who may not have had access to a local retailer offering Y-3 products,” Hermann Deininger, chief marketing officer of Adidas’ Sport Style Division, said to WWD.
Displaying a sleek, industrial vibe, the website will be available in a variety of local currencies and languages, such as Japanese and Italian, and display the brand’s rock ’n’ roll inspiration.
