‘A Night of LUX’ Continues…

The soiree was a success but the battle for LLS isn’t over. Check out our online auction on ebay with lux items for low prices, all proceeds going to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

“A Night of LUX” was a success. On May 13, charitable donors of Orange County, fashion luminaries and social media stars came together to support LadyLUX’s Elizabeth Wahler in her “A Night of LUX: A Fashionable Fight Against Cancer”. Guests had the chance to bid on a number of luxury items, from a soon-to-be-released pearl necklace by Jane Basch, a vintage one-of-a-kind YSL handbag, to a guitar signed by Mick Jagger and cinema art autographed by actors such as Johnny Depp. Who can choose? All the proceeds went to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and their funding for blood cancer research.

Besides the awesome auction, guests sipped fine tequila at the private Newport Beach estate and enjoyed a viewing of LUXE by Lisa Vogel‘s new swimwear line, which was recently chosen to be in the June issue of Redbook Magazine.

Elizabeth’s mother, Valaree Wahler thought the event was an immense success. She also noted that the event, which held 150 guests from age 25-84, was able to hit multiple generations… a difficult feat for charity events that usually garner an older audience. Valaree said, “I have never seen that diverse of an age group at a charity event before.”

With noted bloggers in attendance, it was clear that being a part of social media paid off. Crosby Noricks, founder of PR Couture, was excited to be at the event, “I suppose my favorite part was when everyone rushed down to complete their bids, there was laughter and gentle shoving as we all worked together to raise money, and hopefully score a bit of luxury or pampering for ourselves.” Crosby went on to say, “The oceanfront venue was absolutely spectacular and the perfect way to spend a fashionable Southern California evening. I look forward to many more events of this caliber.”

Elizabeth Wahler, founder of Kiére Media, pulled the event together in just 4 weeks. The luxury charity event was a first for the thirty-year-old media maven, but Elizabeth knows this will not be her last. “My motto is ‘Good for the Sake of Good’. This is what I love to do. There’s definitely more to come…” Elizabeth said.

Speaking of more to come, the online auction continues! On June 4, the award is given to LLS’s Women of the Year. Until then, LadyLux will be featuring some of their items on an online auction in an effort to raise for funds for the great charity. Please check out the items on our eBay site and start bidding to stop blood cancer!
