Today's blogger of the week is the adorably chic Kirstin Marie! When she isn't soaking up the hot Florida sun, this fashionista is spending quality time with her hubby and two pets, Zuri and Randall.

LadyLUX: What inspired you to start a fashion blog?

Kirstin Marie: I had been reading other fashion & personal style blogs for years before I finally jumped the gun, and transformed my LiveJournal (aka my personal diary) in what my blog is today. I needed motivation to dress myself better instead of just hanging around in sweats and hoodies all the time. Blogging makes me feel so good. It is really empowering posting pictures of myself for all to see, especially being as insecure about myself as I was.

LL: What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?

KM: When I am not blogging, I work as an Events & Rentals Coordinator & Theater Technical Director at a private school. You can also find me spending time with my awesome fiance Scott & my favorite little pup Randall.

LL: What has been your favorite experience as a blogger?

KM: I absolutely love the community aspect of blogging. It's like a big family filled with bloggers, readers, and friends. Communicating with my readers is another big thing for me. I love it when my readers reach out to me, be it by commenting on a post, sending me a tweet, or typing up a quick email. I always respond, because I want my readers to know that I listen to them, and I read every single word they send me.

LL: What is your current style obsession?

KM: I love the high-low hems on just about everything. I'm also a huge fan of vintage anything, chunky shoes, black eyeliner, and a rose color lip - though a red or pink lip is fun too!

LL: When you’re in need of some fashion inspiration, where do you look?

KM: I look to my fellow bloggers, or I head out to the thrift shops. Nothing gives me more inspiration than finding a hidden gem in the pile of old goodies that I know I can transform into something new & exciting.
