Blogger Spotlight: The Style Visitor

Today's blogger of the week is the trend-setting Anne from The Style Visitor! Hailing from Amsterdam, she is a Fashion & Design graduate and freelance illustrator, who shares with readers her daily style obsessions!

LadyLUX: What inspired you to start a fashion blog?

Anne: It made common sense to me to start one when I started graduating from AMFI (Amsterdam Fashion Institute) as a fashion designer. I thought it would be a great way to showcase my talent and create my own platform to express myself but also to inspire and surprise people every day. I know there are many blogs out there, but I hope I can bring something unique into the blogosphere.

LL: Who are your style icons?

A: Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen.

LL: How would (someone) describe your blogging style?

A: I think it's minimal with an edge. I like super simple things, but also very feminine things that catch the eye.

LL: What is your favorite part about creating content?

A: Pulling a look is definitely the favorite thing for me to do. I love combining clothes and really think about an era or person I would like to portray next. If I had the chance I would also match the entire background with my outfit, but I don't have a professional photographer running behind me all day

LL: How would you describe your personal style?

A: It's close to my blogging style I think. Although my blog is very graphic my outfits are more playful and not so strict to attract a broader audience and give styling tips to everyone.

LL: What was the most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?

A: Keeping readers satisfied every day. It's hard to maintain a certain level of quality. You have to give your best every single day because there's always someone out there who's going to do a better job. It's good to be very self critical.

LL: Whats your strategy with your blog in general?

A: My strategy is to gain more and more followers by providing them the looks with the latest trends and newest collections. I own a small silk screen company and I'm planning on launching a t-shirt and top label under another name this year. I hope my followers will also like what I design, this is an exciting time. This project keeps me busy 24/7 so there's still a lot to do!
