Combining the efforts of many, a new project ‘Pink Dress Collection,’ is an inspirational new symbol created for breast cancer awareness.  ‘The Pink Dress’ was created to build awareness regarding breast cancer and its impact on our society.  The goal of the campaign is to encourage women to take preventative measures and regularly receive annual check-ups.

This new campaign involved fashioning a ‘Pink Dress Collection’ in collaboration with several designers and celebrities. Some of the most notable mentions include:  Guess by Marciano, Tadashi, Luca Luca, Juicy Couture, Sue Wong, David Rodriquez, Lilly Pulitzer and Caravan by Claudine Gumbel.

The three city tour for ‘The Pink Dress Collection’ kicked off in NYC on September 15 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.  It will then head to Miami for Rack Fashion Week at the Eden Rock on October 14-17.  It will end on the west coast for Rock Fashion Week at Paramount Studios from October 28-31.

After the three city events, the dresses will be auctioned at the last stop in L.A. at an elaborate after-party with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure® for breast cancer research and awareness.—rockfashionwk.com

The Susan G. Komen For the Cure Foundation continues to make great strides in breast cancer awareness across the globe.  To date, it’s the largest grassroots movement of its kind and has raised more than $1.3 billion towards a cure.  It has raised awareness among women of all ages and its impact has been remarkable.
