Gucci Creates Eco-T to Benefit New Film, HOME
LUXies, what could be more LUX then high-end fashion blended
with philanthropy?!?
Well that’s what’s created with this super cute organic
cotton T-shirt made by Gucci designer, Frida Giannini, as a way to support a
new film, HOME. Who knew a simple
T-shirt could be transformed instantly into something so eco-LUX?! 
Photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand created the film, HOME. Yann’s global passions come alive as the environmentally conscience film tour documents the evolution of time on this planet. It promises to provide ‘unique footage from over fifty countries, all seen from the air’ to help visually see the changing landscape of the planet’s atmosphere especially in the last 50 years. The evidence of damage to our ecosystems and to the earth’s surface is evident by this visual representation and the ways we can take direct action is key to the sustainable future of our globe.
The making and production of the HOME film is considered a ‘carbon offset.’
…Meaning that all CO2 emissions engendered by the making of the film are calculated and offset by sums of money that are used to provide clean energy to those who don’t have any. For the last ten years, all the work of Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been carbon offset. –via
