Gucci Sues Guess: Trademark Infringement

Modern LUX brand, Gucci seems to have finally had enough of the ‘copy-cat’ approach used by Guess. According to a formal suit filed in New York City: Gucci America Inc. accuses the Los Angles-based Guess? Inc. of trademark infringement. wink

Gucci claims that Guess targets their most popular designs and uses a similar logo pattern to resemble their own. Guess’s product strategy is deemed deliberate in targeting Gucci in order to create similar designs of their most popular and well-known products. Then these sophisticated imitations are sold through large third-party wholesalers, their website and each one of their 1,000 stores.
