Fashion-LUXies, it seems our FAV iconic pop brand will soon be turning 35! That’s right, it was almost 35 years ago when people began falling in love with the cute and friendly designs of Hello Kitty.
To mark this special occasion, Hello Kitty will be launching a variety of new product lines this fall. Some we have featured above to give a you a brief glimpse of what’s to come in the near future!
Some of the highlighted items that caught our attention include: a limited edition Swarovski crystal necklace, a collection of handbags in the traditional pink, blue and yellow tartan, plus an expanded Kimora Lee Simmons lifestyle accessories line that includes iPhone cases and business card holders—items so cute, they’re sure to entice even the Hello Kitty novice.
“We want to talk about the essence of Hello Kitty,” explained Janet Hsu, the Los Angeles-based president of Sanrio global consumer products.
Celebrating with LUX and culture in mind, a ‘retrospective art exhibition’ will be held in honor of Hello Kitty at the Royal/T gallery in Culver City, California, entitled ‘Three Apples.’ Opening date will commence on October 23 and run through November 15. Be sure to check out this great event documenting the art of our beloved kitty.
And for those of you with home décor on your radar, be sure and check out the super cute house in the gallery! However, we don’t suggest everyone run out and cover their house in head to toe Kitty gear. ☺ We’ll leave that for the Super Fans.
