It’s December and the women (and two men) of LadyLUX couldn’t be more excited. For the rest of the month we’re hoping to bring our loyal readers some joy, by way of amazing gifts to make your holidays happy and a little more LUX.
For our first JoyLUX giveaway, we’ve partnered with Smashing Darling, Annatarian Eco Couture and Santa Claus (yes, Santa himself) to bring you a delicious LUX giveaway, worth over $225!
One of our favorite indie fashion sites, Smashing Darling, is giving you a $150 online shopping spree. The certificate is good for anything on the SmashingDarling website (may we recommend some of our holiday picks?).
Annatarian, an amazing green jewelry and apparel line out of Los Angeles, is giving you two of their eco-chic Seven Wishes bracelets. Made of recycled sterling silver and eco hemp, the seven wishes bracelet reminds the wearer of personal dreams and aspirations they’ve set for themselves. A stylish way to hold true to New Year’s resolutions—how couldn’t we resist?!
And then there’s Santa Claus. Yes, Santa himself is bringing you FOUR books that the Ladies of LadyLUX loved this year, including 101 Things You Should Know How To Do, Poetry to Share Your Love, Happily Graceful and Love Listography - Writing Your Love Life In Lists.
So how do win this amazing gift? Simple.
- Simply REGISTER a LadyLUX account or leave an COMMENT.
- In your comment for on this post, tell us: what you find most LUX about this holiday season.
- The winner will be selected at random and notified via their registered email if they win.

I missed the point about making a comment about what I find lux… today - the scent - baking holiday cookies - fills the house with a delicious scent.

What I find most LUX about this Holiday season is how you choose to treat others, loved ones and not so loved ones. If you treat all with LOVE and RESPECT then that’s the true definition of LUX to me!

I love lights, cookies and respect for life is the star on top of the pine tree. Keep it coming!

The most LUX aspect of the holidays is quality family time, home cooked meals and that one accessory you’ve been coveting all season!

Lindsey: I love spending holiday time with family. It’s my first Christmas with my amazing spouse and I’ve never been so excited. It feels like I’ve never had a Christmas before. New experience and a completely new year. Thank you for sharing.

How Exciting! Holiday eco goodies! And you can’t find a better partner than Smashing Darling, their stuff is to die for!
What I find the most LUX during the holidays? Hmmm, well, there is so much! But at the top of my list is love, health, sharing a great bottle of wine with good friends, the smell of pine-needles, and a hot cup of cocoa. I do miss the fluffy white snow, since we don’t get much of that in CA (sigh).

Everything! The colors, the lights, the snow, the presents. So lux and I love it all!

The thing I find most lux, most lovely - is the pure lusciousness of the love and traditions we surround ourselves with. Whether the sparkle or a light or brilliant family decoration passed down by generations to glow upon our mantle, the warm coziness of a faux fur blanket around our shoulders as we snuggle in for a night by a fire (place or pit that is), or a scrupmtious treat that melts in our mouth after spending hours gloriously creating it from scratch with a friend by our side to share memories and joy, the ways that we reach out to connect and to help, when perhaps other times of year these needs would not catch our hearts…these holidays are to be treasured, to be luxuriated in, and to be loved.

What I find most LUX about this holiday season is spending time with friends and family. As the years have gone by, Christmas is more and more about family and friends and less about the barbies and mini dream homes.

Most lux things about the holidays are the endless gifting ideas, smell of peppermint hot chocolate and having loved ones near!

What a fun give-away! Lux for the holidays for me means a pair of cashmere lounge pants and splurging on gifts for my best friends.

Cashmere scarves and peppermint cocoa, I love it! Tell me more…

Hmmmm….this is tricky, because there are so many LUX ideas I have.
Well, as much as I would love to just go with the obvious, I think I’ll go with what comes to mind first, HA, and that’s FOOD!!!! See I am a triathlete, a marathon runner, and have a passion for fitness, but this Holiday season I am fueled by something different, happiness and I truly feel happiest when I am able to eat whatever I want. Amazing enough, I have no guilty coconscious to fret about this year as I have worked hard and have longed for this all season. Now is the time for gluttony with food for me. To pillage from my cabinets for the porridge’s and sweets that keep me awake at night, tossing and turning, telling me that it’s okay to have sweets at 11pm at night, lol. Oh how I have longed for a delectable BBQ lunch of spareribs covered in Texas’s best BBQ sauce, side by side with a mountain of honey baked ham, warm baked rolls, with piles of mashed potatoes and gravy; only to be followed by a feast of great dinners! With my mouth still watering from my lunch I sink even lower, oh my, I don’t mind if I do, because Lord knows I love me some skirts of lamb complemented by an amazing bottle of wine! With me finally nestling by the fire ready to enjoy a slice of chocolate coconut cream cake with warm cup of Joe, praised with the richness of Baileys liqueur!!!
See, feasts aren’t made for just Kings anymore, no ma’am. I will eat; yes, I will eat till there is a smile on my face and a belt loosened! My smile will be seen, noticed from afar, and this smile, one that will have been worked for will be so enormous I will need plastic surgery to remove it!!!!
There will be a time for me to shed my under-armor or as some would call it, winter weight (Ft. Worth Marathon Feb 2010), but for now I must eat, be merry, enjoy in the Holiday festivities, and try not to kill myself with a heart attack while in the middle of it all! lol…
Merry Christmas Lux, I know you’ve been very, very good this year, so there’s no doubt in mind that all your Christmas wishes will come true!
Be a Go Giver!

hmmm… most lux during this time…. probable the friendliness of people, the giving of gifts from the heart, and family….there are so many things like the lights and carolers, yes, in this small town there are carolers.
wrap it all up and try to save for all year long, if possible
