Although speculation regarding the dress designer Kate Middleton will choose for her big day has been plaguing the press, that didn’t stop Prince William’s bride-to-be from hitting bridal boutiques last week.
A source confirmed to People magazine that Middleton has found the designer for the gown for her April nuptials.
With mother and sister in tow, Middleton hit the streets of Knightsbridge, an area in London known for luxury shopping. There was one storefront they visited that got the British chatting: Bruce Oldfield. Although royal aides hushed rumors that Middleton has chosen Princess Diana’s coveted designer, a stop at the shop revealed he isn’t entirely off the list.
Oldfield would not comment on the story.
“It’s Miss Middleton’s intention to keep the dress a secret for her bridegroom on their wedding day, as is every bride’s prerogative,” said a spokesperson for the royal family.
