Chanel Launches New Flagship Boutique in Shanghai this Winter

Chanel will make a huge presence in China with its new Shanghai flagship store set to open on December 3.

Setting the stage for success, this grand opening will feature a ‘Paris-Shanghai’ themed affair with a pre-fall collection hosted by Karl Lagerfeld himself.

This new boutique is approximately 5,160 sq ft. and is filled with lush décor to create the ambiance of the Chanel brand, which we’ve all grown to know and love. This includes the incorporation of 18th-century French mantelpieces, Louis XV armchairs and other vintage pieces. The design of the building was inspired by Coco Chanel’s ‘famed Rue Cambon apartment,’ and brought to life by architect Peter Marino. Located in the Peninsula hotel in the historic Bund riverfront promenade, the location, the boutique design and the architecture are all built to make a lasting impression!

Chanel currently operates 42 boutiques in the Asia-Pacific region and this new flagship will fit in with the expansion plans for its strong momentum in China.
