LFW Spring 2012: The Best Accessories from London

There was no shortage of shoes, bags, hats or jewelry for London Fashion Week, but with all the shows, the options may be overwhelming. LadyLUX picks out the best of the bunch for Spring 2012.

Sunglasses. Shades are one of the most vital pieces in your Spring wardrobe and ACNE’s round plastic frames are perfect for channeling chic retro vibes and keeping cool. Look for sunnies in bright colors and nudes for a new fresh start to the season.

Pumps. Pumps are once again becoming staples among footwear options. As trends move toward ladylike and feminine looks, single-sole pointed pumps are just right for a prim and proper style. Erdem’s ankle cuff version came in florals, mesh, lace and vinyl, with the unique materials giving the classic an exciting edge.

Wide-brimmed hats. Headwear has not been a stranger to the runways in the past seasons and is here to stay for Spring. Jaeger London’s flat, wide-brimmed sunhat is a great update to the fedora. Shown in a variety of colors of brown, blue and green shades, they are the perfect finishing touch for a fresh Spring look.

Handbags. Well known for the Alexa and the Bayswater classic satchels, Mulberry bags are always a coveted option and have been jazzed up for Spring. The Alexa got edgy with studded rivets, snakeskin and zebra prints, while the Bayswater stayed classy with scalloped edges. Mulberry also added sweet, boxy camera bags to its new travel collection.

Necklaces. With tribal-meets- modern necklaces, Sass and Bide is first choice for accessory options. Necklaces took silhouette inspiration from African tribes with spikey collars, tubular chokers and dangling bibs, but were made fashion forward with bright neon colors.

These statement pieces can easily be the focal point of your look and elevate any simple outfit.
