Trending on Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 runways, chokers and collar necklaces are the perfect statement accessory. The modern necklaces may have a clean and sleek vibe, but they can definitely jazz up any outfit, plus be styled in several different luxe ways. Get inspired with our favorite pieces and the fresh ways to incorporate them into your wardrobe!

Kenneth Jay Lane’s hinged collar is perfectly chic in satin gold. The gorgeous piece will stand out in head-to-toe classic black or winter-white looks. Paired with a plunging V-neck, the collar will help accentuate your collarbone.

With its brass finish, Cornelia Webb’s molded collarbone piece with a box chain has an antique impression. The scalloped edges give the necklace character and make it perfect styled with a button-up collared shirt. Try buttoning the shirt all the way to the top and layer the necklace over so it peeks out under the collar.

Featuring natural and black leather woven through chevron discs, this Giles & Brother necklace has a unique texture. To bring out the black, pair this collar with oversized back stud earrings, or, to accent the neutral tone, wear with a nude-colored blouse.

Eye-catching and lustrous, Dannijo’s vena cava necklace rests snugly on the collarbone. Considering its simplicity, this choker would look incredible layered with a longer, chain pendant necklace. The play on short and long styles is a great way to make older pieces look fresh again.

The textured snake chain of this Kenneth Jay Lane piece encircles the neck in 22k gold. The bib style necklace has a traditional vibe, as if belonging in your mother’s jewelry box 20 years ago. The piece would be striking worn against the high neckline of a fitted turtleneck.

Giles & Brother rhodium collar necklace is unique with its subtle gold accents. The tubular shape is contrasted with a chain for a hard versus soft contrast. The collar piece would look modern with a T-shirt and jeans or with a long-sleeve dress. To really take the outfit to the next level, stack two of these necklaces together.
