The name Tom Ford is synonymous with luxurious, high-end fashion, so it comes as no surprise that Tom Ford Eyewear will be launching a lavish collection of optical frames.
Available from April through June, the special edition collection was inspired by the enduring elegance of 1950s eyewear and offers the most refined styles ever created by the brand. The new frames for women and men are crafted from the finest quality gold-plated metal and precious water buffalo horn. The buffalo horn, fashioned on the front and at the temple tips, is a unique material and may appear slightly different in each frame due to its organic nature. Each pair of the retro-influenced frames is constructed through meticulous workmanship, representing the highest levels of design and fabrication in eyewear.

The special edition women’s frames, in particular, reference the ‘50s with defined lines at the nose and are balanced by slender and elegant metal temples embellished with the understated “T”, a signature of the brand. The frames are offered in two colors: yellow gold-plated metal with brown and gray striped horn or yellow gold-plated metal with white and gray striped horn.
For the men, the frame boasts stronger temple proportions and is offered in white gold-plated metal with brown and gray striped horn or yellow gold-plated metal with black striped horn.
To add to the Ford extravagance, each pair of frames and its leather case is presented in a gorgeous, specially designed Bakelite resin box complete with a soft brown lining. A special cleansing cream and chamois cloth is provided to care for the buffalo horn.

The frames will be available for $2,950 in Tom Ford boutiques and select luxury department stores.
