Today is a day to give. It is Give Out Day, the first national giving day just for LGBTQ causes. Until midnight tonight, Bolder Giving will be sponsoring an online contest to raise funds – hopefully in the realm of millions – for lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender/queer organizations. It looks like Internet shoppers could be slapped with sales taxes when purchasing online. The U.S. Senate is likely to pass the Marketplace Fairness Act, depending on a vote Monday, which requires all retailers on the Internet to assess sales taxes based on the states the items are shipped to, reported CNN. With the release of “The Great Gatsby” movie remake directed by Baz Luhrmann, the Plaza Hotel has introduced the brand new “Great Gatsby”-inspired hotel suite called the Fitzgerald Suite designed in homage to the author of the literary masterpiece.
