Combining Conscious Living with Technology at the Wisdom 2.0 Conference
Imagine having the opportunity to hear from and experience a variety of thought-leaders who discuss breakthrough information on a topic that is a new technology trend of the year.
Well, that is exactly the premise of the Wisdom 2.0 Conference this spring. It is bringing together leaders from a variety of disciplines that include technology, Zen teachers, neuroscientists and academics to explore the topic of living with deeper meaning and wisdom in this tech-savvy time.
What we loved most about this innovative approach is that it looks at technology from many viewpoints as well as what it means to live in such a developing and tech-dependent global environment. The focus of how this affects our lives and how we navigate on a daily basis is key to the impact of this conference experience. It is not only looking at what is possible, but also the best way to work with technology to improve the way we live instead of distracting us from what’s happening.
As you all know, ‘smart phones’ are fantastic until you are so connected that you almost never unplugged and it causes havoc on your personal life! You know what I mean; the friend who is always texting or checking email while at dinner. Yikes, as I write this I know that there has been a time where this was me!! Or what about those that answer their cell phones in the movies? With the amount of technology that drives our everyday lives it expands way beyond courtesy anymore and more of lifestyle choices.
With this new conference you will have the chance to be privy to new ways of looking at ‘internal technology’ systems that affect our own mind, body and well-being. It will explore how technology relates to our lifestyle choices and where we are heading. It is about educating ourselves on the best use of technology to create the future we would like to see for our kids.
Here is a taste of some of the speakers to present at the conference: Alana B. Elias Kornfeld (Living Editor, Huffington Post), Gopi Kallayil (Product Marketing Manager, Google), Philippe Goldin (Neuroscientist, Stanford), and Greg Pass (Vice President Engineering, Twitter). For the full list, visit the official site and click on speakers.
The great thing about this conference is that if you register by February 28 you can have access to the full 2-day affair for $249, plus a $7.22 processing fee. If you wait until the last minute then it will be about $399, plus a $9.95 processing fee.
