LUX Love: Vivienne Westwood dresses up tables for a cause
Known for putting punk rock on the style radar, the last person you would think would be dressing up the dining room would be Vivienne Westwood. However, true to the fiery-headed fashion icon, she is anything but conventional with her new tablecloth collection. Featuring her signature penchant for bright colors, her prints look fit to grace an 80s rock album with hand-drawn images and british tartans. They may seem a bit familiar because the designs are actually taken from her past and present collections. Although they retail for 1,000 GBP, all the proceeds go to a special cause. Cool Earth is a charity close to the fashion designer’s heart. Each time a tablecloth is sold, 100 percent goes to saving the rainforests. Although the price might seem steep, each piece is made to order and signed by Westwood herself.
