Message required The Oceana SeaChange Summer Party on July 29 was a successful star-studded event that raised over $1 million through the 2012 Auction in the name of ocean conservation. As the soiree took place at a private estate nestled in the hills of Laguna Beach, LadyLUX was there not only covering the excitement, but also dressed to the nines and rubbing elbows with Morgan Freeman, Beverly D’Angelo, Jenna Ushkowitz and Ted Danson. CEO and Founder of LadyLUX, Elizabeth Wahler, Chief Technical Officer, Rob Poitras, and Senior Editor, Annette Tang, turned it out for SeaChange in an unexpected DIY, a dapper suit and sunshine yellow, respectively. There was no holding back for one of the biggest nights in Orange County. Elizabeth Wahler swears by Hervé Léger dresses but this time she gave her own unique DIY twist. For her stunning ensemble, Wahler looked to Nasrin Ansari’s couture expertise to craft an underlay panel of neon yellow and black lace that creatively combined the Hervé Léger V-neck dress with Nasty Gal’s moto lace blouse and delicate lace from Emanuel Ungaro’s latest runway collection. Wahler styled the look with a gold cuff, decadent vintage Tony Duquette earrings and Christian Dior pumps. Relaxed wavy curls by DryBar gave the dress easy glamour. Rob Poitras is never one to turn down a red carpet event – or blue carpet in this case for Oceana. LadyLUX’s savvy Chief Technical Officer suited up in Hugo Boss for the ocean awareness event. Adding pops of color, Poitras accessorized with an orange Ted Baker tie and a multicolor Etro pocket square. To Boot New York shoes rounded out the spiffy attire.
