Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring 2012

From Aug. 3 to 7, Denmark’s capital came alive for Copenhagen Spring 2012 Fashion Week. Danish designers gathered to show off their collections, known for innovative designs, fresh silhouettes, and unique styling and detailing. Scandinavian fashion has been creating a worldwide buzz with its edgy yet minimal aesthetics, and this year was no exception.

This season, three dozen designers worked the runway at City Hall, including 11 newcomers. Those making their debut included Tabernacle Twins, Magnus Loppe and Dennis Lyngso. New to Copenhagen Fashion Week but definitely not new to runway, Hugo Boss also made an appearance.

This fashion week wasn’t just about runway. Four tradeshows were also exhibited: CPH Vision, Terminal-2, Gallery and Copenhagen International Fashion Fair. With 1,100 exhibitors and more than 60,000 buyers, designers and press, the shows had an impressive turnout.
