Diamani announces partnership with John Galliano
Italian jeweler, Diamani, is world renowned for their exquisite diamond jewelry. On July 22, the leading luxury brand announced a new creative collaboration with Dior's couturier, John Galliano. The collection will showcase Galliano's eclectic aesthetic and his attraction towards texture and originality. At the same time, it will show off Diamani's impeccable goldsmithing, stone settings and timeless craftsmanship, which they've so carefully honed since their inception in 1924.
Women's Wear Daily reports that his first pieces will meld luxury with the idea of “a modern treasure trove.” Very fitting since Galliano showed off his love for surprise and color at the Paris couture shows this June. For now, the pieces will only be sold at Galliano's Paris boutique, but there is speculation it will be mass marketed by Diamani.
Besides their in-house lines, Diamani is known as a manufacturer for some of the biggest names in the industry, such as Jil Sander, Martin Margiela, Gianfranco Ferré, Ducati and Maserati. Although Diamani has recently suffered in the marketplace, posting a net loss for the past year of 18.2 million euros on March 31, this could be a positive step towards spiking profits.
Diamani and John Galliano have not released further details about the partnership, but if you want to see the pieces, head to Galliano's Paris boutique for a peek.
