Ed Westwick makes runway debut in Philipp Plein’s Spring 2013 Men’s Fashion Show

Spring 2013 Menswear Fashion Week was in full swing in Milan over the weekend and the stylish boys from “Gossip Girl” were in attendance. While Chace Crawford was sitting in the front row of the Versace show alongside Rachel Bilson, Hayden Christensen, Alexander Ludwig and NBA basketball player Marco Belinelli, his co-star, Ed Westwick, was rocking the catwalk.

In his runway debut, Westwick opened and closed Philipp Plein's ultramodern show, sporting a tailored black ensemble completed with a light blue blazer and a leather bomber paired with chic whites. The collection pulled inspiration from street art, baroque chambers and Tiepolo frescoes. Westwick’s appearance in the Spring 2013 “Bulletproof Hero” show was appropriate, as the actor is also the new face of Plein’s Fall 2012 campaign.

“I'm very happy that my bulletproof hero will be interpreted by Ed Westwick on the catwalk. He’s an actor with great talent. Concrete and down to earth, both on stage and in real life, he knows how to be himself, just like the men for whom this collection is intended,” Plein said in a press release.

The Fall campaign, “Unleash the Beast,” was shot by renowned photographer Terry Richardson in a wall-to-wall mirrored room at Milk Studios in New York. Westwick modeled Plein’s designs in cozy poses with French model Sabina Nait.
