Fashion’s Night Out expands into more cities and dates

As Fashion’s Night Out looks forward to celebrating its fourth year this September, the ever-growing, annual worldwide shopping extravaganza will take place in 19 markets across the globe, including cities in Greece, Brazil and Italy, as reported by WWD.com. According to a statement from British Vogue, a handful of countries will be hosting the event in two or more cities.

In Italy, Milan, Rome and Florence will be hosting events, while Germany will celebrate in Berlin and Düsseldorf and Russia will entertain in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Brazil, Mexico and Greece will also be hosting Fashion’s Night Out in several cities. The United States will be holding the event on September 6 alongside New York Fashion Week Spring 2013.

“We are delighted to be supporting the fashion and retail sectors again while highlighting the important role fashion plays in the economy of a country,” said Alexandra Shulman, editor of British Vogue, as reported by WWD.com. “Last year, numbers of visitors were exceptional, in particular on Bond Street where visitor numbers were up by 92 percent on 2010. Street closures and live performances helped boost attendance and create the mood of a stylish street party.”

The various international Vogue Web sites, Twitter and Facebook pages will be giving regular updates on the event as details are confirmed, the statement said.

The dates are as follows:

Sept. 6: United States, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Russia, Mexico, Australia and Korea
