Get in the Holiday Spirit with J.C. Penney’s ‘Joy of Giving’ Campaign

With fall in full gear and the holidays right around the corner, it seems many retailers are finding ways to merge social media with the holiday spirit.

J.C. Penney’s, in particular, has created a holiday campaign that’s meant to inspire the giving spirit, called the ‘Joy of Giving.’ By creating a Facebook community page they’re aiming to create a community spirit of giving! This is an online space dedicated to share stories of giving joy and clicking right through to JCP.com to buy gifts for others.

This campaign is meant to capture the 568,000 fans of the retailer brand and provide a way for them to become part of the spirit of giving! What could be better than combining a fun and easy experience for JCP shoppers?

“Consumers are focused on making smart spending decisions this season without sacrificing style or quality,” said Myron E. (Mike) Ullman, III, chairman and chief executive officer for JCPenney. “This plays right to our strengths as we have a meaningful gift assortment that will make it fun, festive and affordable to select gifts for family and friends. Bringing the ‘joy of giving’ to America’s families with our best gift assortment offered through aggressive promotions – and delivered with superior customer service and a convenient, easy shopping experience – solidifies JCPenney as the one-stop destination this Christmas.”

Also, expect a new mobile phone wireless application to accompany this whole new community-centered campaign. This will allow you to share your stories of giving via your phone, search for local J.C.Penney stores and find all of the newest sales items as soon as prices drop! Efficiency, effortless and simple sounds exactly what we all can afford to have this Holiday Season.
