Google Launches NEW Communication Tool “Wave”

Google fans, it seems a new dynamic communication platform is being launched by our favorite search provider, Google, Inc., to transform the way we currently cooperate online! Google Inc. aims at releasing this new system, ‘Google Wave’ by fall, which combines e-mail, instant messaging, wikis and photo sharing more effectively. Accessed through a traditional Web browser, it definitely pushes the envelope of what was previously possible with this user-friendly format.

Built by the makers of Google Maps, this new tool aims at incorporating collaborative techniques into an online format!! It’s also an ‘open source’ platform that allows anyone to make their own ‘wave system.’ This wave can be part conversation, part document, always shared and is a live ‘in the moment’ conversation! Now this is LUX-ified technology!! wink

In Google Wave you create a wave and add people to it. Everyone on your wave can use richly formatted text, photos, gadgets, and even feeds from other sources on the web. They can insert a reply or edit the wave directly. It’s concurrent rich-text editing, where you see on your screen nearly instantly what your fellow collaborators are typing in your wave. That means Google Wave is just as well suited for quick messages as for persistent content — it allows for both collaboration and communication. You can also use “playback” to rewind the wave and see how it evolved. –Google Blog
